Giants roster cuts tracker: Isaiah Hodgins, Darnay Holmes, Allen Robinson gone

The Giants continued their cutdown to a 53-man roster by waiving veterans Isaiah Hodgins, Jakob Johnson and Darnay Holmes, according to multiple reports.

Former Pro Bowl receiver Allen Robinson was also released, according to NFL Network.

Quarterback Tommy DeVito, meanwhile, has survived the cuts.

Hodgins scored a touchdown in the Giants’ 2022 playoff win over the Vikings and seven more in 25 regular-season games over the previous two seasons.

The Giants drafted Holmes in the fourth round in 2020 and despite seeing limited time on defense last season was re-signed to a one-year, $2 million deal this offseason.

Holmes played significant snaps in the preseason finale against the Jets with other backups and suffered a neck injury.

Johnson, a five-year NFL veteran, was signed earlier this month for depth at tight end and fullback after spending the previous two seasons with the Raiders.

Linebacker Tomon Fox, who has bounced on and off the Giants roster since 2022, cornerback Tre Herndon, running back Dante Miller, tight ends Lawrence Cager and Jack Stoll, also have been waived.

Receiver Miles Boykin and center Jimmy Morrissey were also released but the Giants want to bring them back to the practice squad, per ESPN.
