Travis Kelce Reacts To Fan Trolling “You Still Have Taylor” After Bad Golf Swing

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce had a memorable moment at the American Century Championship charity golf tournament over the weekend when a fan lightheartedly trolled him following a bad golf swing. The incident, captured in a video shared by NBC Sports, shows Kelce reacting to the fan’s comment with humor and grace.

After hitting a poor tee shot, Kelce immediately exclaimed, “oh no.” A fan in the gallery quickly chimed in with, “it’s alright, you still have Taylor,” referencing Kelce’s girlfriend, pop superstar Taylor Swift. Kelce’s response, “you ain’t lying there,” drew laughter from the crowd and added to the event’s cheerful atmosphere.

Swift, currently on the European leg of her ‘Eras Tour,’ was a recurring topic during Kelce’s participation in the celebrity golf tournament at Lake Tahoe. On Friday, July 12, Kelce was seen dancing to a remixed version of Swift’s song ‘Lavender Haze’ while playing the 17th hole with his brother, Jason Kelce, who recently retired from the Philadelphia Eagles.

Kelce also showcased his singing talent by performing Whitesnake’s ‘Here I Go Again’ on Thursday, July 11, and winning a karaoke award, which he dedicated to Swift. “Taylor, this one’s for you!” Kelce exclaimed after receiving the award, demonstrating his playful and affectionate nature.

The tournament wasn’t without its hiccups. Kelce accidentally struck a spectator’s arm with his golf ball, causing a minor injury. Sacramento Bee reporter Chris Biderman recorded the moment Kelce approached the fan to apologize, even jokingly kissing the injured arm to make amends.

Kelce and Swift’s relationship has been in the spotlight since going public last September when Swift attended a Chiefs game against the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium. The romance began with Kelce’s attempt to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number during her concert at Arrowhead Stadium the previous summer. Swift later appreciated Kelce’s gesture, calling it “metal as hell” in her Time Magazine ‘Person of the Year’ interview in December 2023.

Kelce’s playful interaction with fans and his public displays of affection for Swift continue to endear him to both sports and music fans, highlighting the charming blend of sportsmanship and celebrity romance.
